Refund & Return Policy

At The Mattress Outlet, we work hard to offer quality mattresses and sleep products at outlet pricing, often 50-75% off retail. Because many of our products are factory seconds, closeouts, discounted outlet items, or specially priced inventory, our return policy is different from a traditional retail store.



All Sales Final on As-Is Products

Factory second mattresses and any products sold “as-is” are final sale. These items are sold at a discounted price and may include cosmetic imperfections, discontinued models, closeout inventory, or other outlet conditions. By purchasing an as-is item, the customer accepts the product in its current condition.

As-is products are not eligible for refunds, exchanges, comfort returns, or cancellations after purchase.


Warrantied Products

Some items we sell may include a manufacturer or store warranty. If a product is sold with a warranty, warranty coverage will be handled according to the warranty terms provided at the time of sale.

Warranty coverage does not automatically qualify an item for a refund or return. Warranty claims may require inspection, documentation, photos, proof of purchase, and approval before any repair, replacement, or other remedy is offered.


Unopened Products

Returns may be accepted on eligible products only if the item has never been opened, used, removed from its original packaging, or damaged.

To be considered for return, the product must be in new, unopened condition with original packaging intact. Opened mattresses, pillows, sheets, protectors, bedding accessories, and other sleep products cannot be returned due to health and sanitation reasons.


Canceled Orders & Unclaimed Products

If a customer cancels an order after purchase, or does not pick up their purchased product, The Mattress Outlet may charge a restocking fee of up to 5% of the purchase price.

This fee helps cover processing, storage, handling, and inventory costs. Any approved refund for a canceled or unclaimed order will be reduced by the applicable restocking fee.


Layaway Policy

The Mattress Outlet offers a 90-day layaway option on eligible products.

All layaway deposits and payments are non-refundable. During the active layaway period, deposits may be transferred toward other available products. However, discounts or special pricing from the original layaway do not transfer to new products.

Customers may request one 30-day extension immediately following the original 90-day layaway period. The extension fee is $25. With this extension, the maximum layaway period is 120 days total.

If a layaway is not paid in full or picked up within the allowed time period, the layaway may expire. Expired layaways are not eligible for a refund.

At The Mattress Outlet’s discretion, an expired layaway deposit may be offered as a discount toward a future purchase. This is not store credit, has no cash value, and cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion.


Refund Method

Approved refunds will be issued back to the original payment method when possible. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financing company.


Proof of Purchase Required

All return, cancellation, or warranty requests require proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or order record.
